Biography

Jim Kliesch, Environmental Regulatory Affairs Manager at American Honda Motor Co., focuses on a range of environmental and technology policy matters, including EPA’s vehicle greenhouse gas (GHG) regulations, federal Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) requirements, and California’s Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mandate. Prior to joining Honda in 2012, Jim spent 13 years as a lead technical and policy analyst within the NGO community, assessing the environmental impacts of light duty vehicles, and authoring or co-authoring numerous books, articles and reports for both technical and mainstream audiences. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Ohio University, and a master’s degree in environmental and energy policy from the University of Delaware. He is based in Washington, DC.
