Biography

Emily Wimberger is the chief economist at the California Air Resources Board where she evaluates the economic impacts of climate change and criteria pollution regulations and policies. Previously, Dr. Wimberger served as a researcher at the University of California Center for Energy and Environmental Economics at UC Santa Barbara and as Economics Fellow at the California Air Resources Board where she focused on the economic evaluation of AB32. Dr. Wimberger’s research interests include the environmental regulation of vehicle emissions, evaluation of pollution mitigation programs, and the interaction of climate change regulation and agriculture. Dr. Wimberger received her PhD in Agriculture and Resource Economics from the University of California Davis in 2011.
